Ergonomically designed, the soft contours and ergonomic design make the NX-240/340 comfortable to hold. The shallow concave design on both sides of the fuselage makes it more comfortable and firm to hold.

With 32 channels and 2 areas, the AMBE+2™ vocoder can accurately restore natural human voices, adapt to different vocal characteristics, and ensure a high level of voice quality. In addition, the powerful speaker with a diameter of 36 mm can output up to 1 watt of audio power to provide clear voice.

Powerful RF performance, RF output power is 5W in both VHF (NX-240) and UHF (NX-340). In addition, the operating frequency range of UHF’s NX-340 is highly up to 70MHz.

NX-240/340 can be connected to the KMC-48GPS shoulder microphone to achieve GPS positioning function. GPS data can be sent regularly or by name.

High security, Kenwood walkie-talkies fully consider the confidentiality of communication. In analog working mode, 16 inversion encryption programming codes are provided to ensure the security of communication content, while in digital working mode, advanced NXDN encryption technology is used. The NX-240/340 can be configured with two general zones, each supporting up to 16 channels.

NEXEDG digital conventional mode provides 64 RAN codes (radio access codes), which can realize individual call and group call functions to ensure fast and effective communication.
